The government has rules about when you can change some Medicare plans. There are some exceptions, so if you have a special circumstance contact Medicare at 1-800-633-4227. If you switch, the insurer may take into consideration pre-existing health conditions. So make sure you ask about the pre-existing health condition rules of the insurance plan you are considering.
